Ah, exploding hair syndrome.

I've seen it a few times. It seems to be caused by loose vertices and zero length edges.

I made a function to clean up problem meshes like this in the Physics Settings panel: Fix Degenerate Mesh. Select the hair (or anything else exploding like that) and press that button. It should remove a bunch of bad mesh data and make the physics work.

Version 1.4.0:

Github: Github Project Page - Releases
Online Documentation: Documentation
CC3 Plugin:
CC3 Plugin Releases
CC4 Plugin: CC4 Plugin Releases

Changelog:
1.4.0
  • Physics JSON changes and additions export.
  • Unity T-pose export fix.
  • Body Collision Mesh fix.
  • Unity export logic fixes.
  • Resize weightmap function.
  • Increment/decrement paint strenth weightmap buttons.
  • Image path writeback fix.
1.3.9
  • Full Json data generation added.
  • Rigify Toe IK Stretch Fix for Blender 3.1+
  • Convert to Non-standard function.
  • Convert from Generic character to Reallusion material based non-standard character.
  • Export baking fixes and default PBR export support added.

I Haven't posted an update for a while because with all the new features and changes with CC4/iC8 I am not entirely sure where everything is at.

So I am going through and making reference videos demonstrating the various features, and fixing any problems that I encounter. It's slow going because I am kind of hopeless at making videos, but even with the few I've managed so far, I've found quite a lot to fix.

I realise it's not obvious what this add-on can really do, but I'm going to try and make some demonstration videos that show what it can do. Keep in mind these aren't going to be Blender tutorials as I really don't have the time to do that. But hopefully you can get the gist of it.

Thank you very much for your contribution but I see the problem of hair and fabric blown up is still not fixed, hope you or someone else can fix this problem.

This add-on is amazing and I ALMOST have my CC4/IC8 character imported and rigged in Blender 3.2.1 for animation.
However, there is one small issue I'm having with the character I'm importing when I apply the Quick Rigify action in this tool.
I am using version 1.4.0
Import seems to be fine and assigns bones correctly, even for a ponytail hair accessory I have on this toon character. When I rotate the head bone, it moves the head and all the hair normally:

After I apply the Quick Rigify and rotate the head on the rig, the ponytail hair accessory does NOT move with the head:

I tried change the ponytail to an actual hair accessory and didn't seem to help.
Admittedly, I'm not an expert on using Rigify. Is there a way to still get this to work in the tool or an easy way to do it in Rigify after the tool converts it?
Thank you

Good timing, I've been working on a fix for this very problem, so I may as well release it now.

Rigify basically rebuilds the skeleton, so any custom bones like accessories needed to be copied over as is and re-parented to the equivalent rigify bones.

Try the latest release (1.4.1):
https://github.com/soupday/cc_blender_tools/releases

see if that fixes your problem.
