@depredor2018 I think you'll need to provide more context in order for the developer to be able to take action. Best place to raise bugs is on the github page for the project.

Blender already has multiple constraints for use in IK or FK
and what exactly do you mean by “fix” the FK?

Github Issue 81I don't think the rig is being setup properly. The Arms are stretching and doing funny things and none of the other components seem to be working properly...the heads coming off leaving the teeth behind...the pelvis is rotating with the FK leg components but leaving the legs behind

image

Ok I can see that the issue is that no constraints are being added....also I might add that when I rotate the FK components nothing happens...and when I rotate the neck the head doesn't move with it...they aren't chained together properly

I'll deal with this here since Gituhub issues tend to vanish when closed and I want something to link to if I need to keep explaining this.

You need to understand how to control the various aspects of the Rigify Rig. Each limb of the rig has it's own set of properties that control whether the rig shows the FK pose or the IK solution (or a blend in between), how much IK stretch is allowed, functions to convert key frames between IK and FK and various other properties such as head/eye tracking mouth lock and pole alignment.

You will find these panels, in the Rig Main Properties and Rig layers panels of the Item tab, with any control in that limb selected:

https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/439bbf1b-da7d-424a-aa83-ea4d.png

By default, each limb of the Rig is Full IK mode with full IK stretch enabled. So moving the FK controls will not appear to do anything until the IK-FK property slider of the limb is changed.

Each limb (left arm, right arm, left leg, right leg, spine and head) has it's own set of independent properties. All of these properties can be animated in actions with key-frames or be controlled with drivers.

So hopefully you will be able resolve your control issues with this.

The Rigify documentation is pretty sparse and doesn't really explain how to use it, I don't know if anyone has any links to better information or tutorials on how to control Rigify?

That said:
There is a bug in Rigify 0.6.5 that comes with Blender 3.1. Rigify 0.6.5 added toe IK/FK controls and the IK stretch on the toes is not controlled correctly by the leg IK stretch property and the toes are left at full stretch. I've looked at the constraint logic underneath it all and there may be a way to fix it.

Edit: If there is still a situation that leaves the teeth behind let me know how to make that happen, as that is obviously not supposed to do that.

Alright, thanks for taking the time to explain that. I'm not really familiar with Blender, I was looking for a way to retarget animations without the root motion alignment being screwed up as it does in iClone 8 so I'll try this again sometime later today and see if I can figure it out.

I'm trying to fix all the Adavanced Locomotion Animations in the ALSV4 project in the Unreal Engine...So far everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.

Unreal Engine's new Control Rig is messing up the Turn In Place animations somehow...not really sure how but the legs are opening too wide and lagging behind in the game.
iClone 8 is messing up the Alignment of the Root to the Character in pretty much every root motion animation I have tried except for some Standing Left Turn Animations...

I'm going to try and see if I can figure out a way too retarget them in Blender, my knowledge is limited but I'm fairly familiar with the interface and how to find things.

There is a free Blender retargeting add-on called “Expy kit”
I use it for Daz Imports converted to rigify.
but it has pre-set for retargeting to the UE rig.
although you may have to do a manual bone map and save your own custom preset like  we had to do back in the 3DXchange days.

Thanks man this helps a ton, I'm going to try one more approach with Control Rig, I just tried making a fresh project and everytime I try to bake an animation to the Control Rig now Unreal Engine 5 is crashing. No idea why, so odds are I'm going to revert back to trying it in Blender in a bit.
Appreciate the resources.

Hi,I am doing the following: In CC3 I add accesories by Create Accessories function, place them where I want and attach them to a bone. Export the Character to Blender with motion, import it using the Blender / CC3 addon, creating a rig with RIGIFY from the Blender to CC3 addon. When I try to pose the character, all the accesories do not stick on the character where I added and placed them inside CC3. Is there a fix for this?Thank you!

Hi,
I am having difficulty installing the CC4 input file into latest version of Blender.
I am following the Reallusion tutorial for installing the CC4 zip file for the importing to Blenderhttps://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/6060f339-5e63-442b-9b4a-1e9e.jpg.
I hade previously installed the CC3 version and it can be seen on the side toolbar. (See attached)
But when l install the CC4 Zip file it says that it installs but when l go to tick the box to enable the Plugin it is not in the list.
(I can see the CC3 checked box ticked but l can not file the CC4 Plug i.
Can anyone help?
Many thanks,
Glenn

Which tutorial are you following?

The CC4 plugin is for Character Creator 4, not for Blender.

For Blender you just need to update your version of the Blender Add-on:
