It would be nice to be able to some way add a blur effect on props background actors etc. as this could simulate a dof effect which is in a lot of cartoons on tv.

I agree - it is a modern cartoon effect. And I join up because I must admit to having had the urge to use it too.

While waiting I suggest exporting any wanted parts as a movie clip or a picture and blurring it with other software - then send it back - or layer everything for easy video editing. Where you can blur desired parts.

It seems to be a good camera/audience focuser which can take away any doubt of where to look.
