Bit of a long one this. Lots to show here.
Documentation Links: https://soupday.github.io/cc_blender_tools/physics.htmlhttps://soupday.github.io/cc_blender_tools/spring-bones.htmlhttps://soupday.github.io/cc_blender_tools/sprig-bones-blender.htmlI am having problems trying to simulate the braids in this video, but they're not simulating with the bones. I had watched the video where you was showing how to simulate the clothes and hair i did everything but it's not working for me. Could i get some help here? Bear with me it's be a while since i was in the forums i forgot how to quote and reply

Does anyone have an idea why the teeth and tongue are shifting out of sorts so badly when retargeting an animation? Is this a bug currently in 4.0 + 2.0? I have tested a number of different animations and different characters now and I am getting the same issue with the tongue and teeth shifting/deforming. Thank you for any help! 76% of original size (was 663x19) - Click to enlarge 76% of original size (was 663x19) - Click to enlarge

You need to use the Scale Body Weights slider when you're binding the hair to reduce the body bones weight influence on the hair mesh so that the spring bones can take over. See the video at 2:00 for the example of it's use.

Hi Victor, just bumping this up to see if you had any ideas what is causing the teeth to shift back and the tongue flipping over.

elevatelabs (1/6/2024) Hi Victor, just bumping this up to see if you had any ideas what is causing the teeth to shift back and the tongue flipping over. Tongue bones weren't being placed correctly in the meta-rig and the teeth bones were retargeting to the wrong end of the bone. It was particularly noticeable on very stylized characters. Try it in 2.0.1.

Not sure if it's something to do with CC4, the Blender plug-in or a problem with this character's textures, but when I import the figure with wrinkles, it render's out like this. I can't seem to trace what's wrong in the shader editor. I do a basic rebuild of the shaders, but that removes the wrinkles completely, which is not what I'm after. Anyone else run into this problem? 76% of original size (was 663x19) - Click to enlarge 76% of original size (was 663x19) - Click to enlarge FYI: Using the most recent version of the plug-in (2.01) in Blender 4.02. I ran into the same problem with Blender version 3.67 as well...

Does it do it in Cycles and Eevee or just one of them? Are the Wrinkle diffuse textures (Std_Skin_Head_Wrinkle_Diffuse1|2|3.jpg) present and plugged into the Wrinkle Map System group node in the Std_Skin_Head material? If the textures are there: are they set to Linear / Flat / Repeat / Single Image / sRGB / Straight?

The problem is there in both Eevee and Cycles (the render above is from cycles).
The three wrinkle diffuse textures are there and plugged into the Wrinkle Map Node group and all three are set to linear - flat - repeat - single image - sRGB - straight.
I also tried exporting the character from iClone using the plugin there and had the same result as I did using the same plug-in from CC4. To clarify, I only exported the 'current pose' with facial expression. Was just trying to export a test image for a mockup scene for an animation later. However, I tried this with a couple of other characters with wrinkle expressions in a single pose, and didn't have the same issue.
I did another test with the same character in a full animation using the wrinkle test animation "functional inspection" from CC4 and that seemed to work. Could it be that because I exported the FBX with 'current pose only' selected and not an animation be the cause of the problem?

Current pose only really shouldn't make any difference. That said, looking into this I've noticed a bug in exports from CC4, when exporting a character to the root folder of a drive, some of the texture paths are malformed in the json, so I've added some code to correct for this. I've also disabled the fbx importer image search option which was slowing it down and usually gets it wrong anyway. Version 2.0.2Not sure if this is related to your problem, but you never can tell with Blender.
