StudioMM (2/12/2022)...but the 'export to CC3' button is greyed out. Exporting from the CC3 tab is not available!
To export back to CC3 you
must export the character from CC3 in such a way that the
FbxKey is generated with it.
i.e. Fbx Options: Mesh only.
Edit: Also, very important:
uncheck embed textures, uncheck delete hidden faces, uncheck bake diffuse and specular maps.
If there is no Fbx Key, the button is greyed out.
It seems I don't have the Blender Autosetup in my plug-in section from CC3 either....I looked at the Reallusion website but I don't see a plugin for Blender, only for Unity and Unreal.
There's a link to it buried somewhere in the Blender pipeline page.
or just go here:
https://github.com/soupday/CC3-Blender-Tools-PluginSome people have trouble installing it, as dropping files into the program files folder is not a user friendly process, so I've made an installer for it. It's in the release page:
https://github.com/soupday/CC3-Blender-Tools-Plugin/releasesSee if that works.
I tried to use the CC3 > Blender Pipeline with a standard character from CC3. The moment I import it in Blender I get a Python report window with all kinds of errors that don't make any sense to me.
That's a concern, the standard character should produce no errors at all. Was it the default CC3+ character (the one loaded in at program launch)? Or one of the sample characters? Also what version of Blender are you using? The add-on is tested for versions 2.83 to 3.0.
Now onto the real problem:
(From your other thread.)
Hi, It's a character called Cartoon Base.ccavatar (purchased with the Cartoon Character Designer - Toon Figures pack. Thanks for your reply!
Ok. I have that pack so I can test it...
...And can confirm there is a problem with the cartoon base characters and the add-on. It's a simple fix I'll push that out after a bit more testing.
