You think the CC3 GOZ funtion will work with ZBrush Core?

I have looked into this and Zbrush Core doesn't support this function, maybe in the future, they will add this functionality that would be great.

I posted this as a comment when the video was first posted, but I'll mention it again here -- it should at least be a red flag that, once again, no animation is shown with the iRay examples.  No one would like to be proven wrong here than me, but the fact is it still looks like iRay for iClone is going to be in the range of the Indigo disaster (meaning, not practical for production animation work).  If this is this is the case no one here should get TOO excited about such things as, say, sub-surface scattering.

That said, CC3 looks very promising.  I have three or four concerns but they would be more appropriate to point out in a beta process which almost surely has passed (if we are indeed talking about, say, October for the release of this then they are already in serious beta).

I thought it did show a short animation clip. Was it not using the iRay plugin for the animation?

It didn't look like it, for that parachuting guy....If it was, it wasn't really able to showcase raytracing's finer goodies vs real-time PBR.
I think we might find there are going to be scenes/art styles where Iray will add little, say like for a toon guy like that.  In these cases PBR,and any embilshments it receieves through later development, is going to be a fine choice for rendering your scene.
But...in the case of the Daz-like Delicious Princess, where you want and need to see the light bouncing against that luscious little flower, I think it will be a bigger advancement as far as rendering realism.
I can't FBigGrinBigGrinBigGrining wait for it, myself.

Thank you for your reply. I guess it wouldn't be too cost efficient for them.
THanks again

Hello, how are you? Here are some kids I managed to create with CC2 , Kids. Bundle , but I do agree that a kid present would be nice.

So I'm guessing with Zbrush Core I could still do my mesh adjustment just have to import export outside of cc3

No you will not have to pay another 200 dollars. I think the first post has more info Smile

Hello!
It indicates a huge problem, from 06.30 to 06.52.
The reasons for this problem: from 07.23 to 08.54.
And the ways of its solution, from 08.55 to 09.33.
It is necessary to automate the solution of this problem. Can apply a special texture, for visual inspection. Vertical lines should remain vertical, horizontal - horizontal. Stretching and contraction should be smooth.

Hi everyone,

Many users are curious about the hardware support of Iray Plugin and how it works in iClone/CC3, please find our comments below.

Hardware Support
  1. Iray supports any number or combination of NVIDIA CUDA GPUs and CPUs running within the same machine and gives you control over which are being used for rendering. Reallusion Iray Plugin is fully inherited with NVIDIA Iray’s flexible hardware rendering settings, so users can specify their CPU and GPUs resource for Iray rendering.
  2. AMD graphics card is not supported in this architecture.
  3. NVIDIA CUDA GPUs System requirements
    • GPUs of CUDA compute capability 3.0 and higher are supported
    • The driver needs to support CUDA 9.0
  4. Reference: NVIDIA Render Performance Benchmark
https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/54462b7b-eed2-46a4-8e3f-885e.jpg

Example: a system with two NVIDIA GTX-1080 graphic cards almost doubled the render speed.

Animation Rendering

Animation rendering is supported by Iray PlugIn for iClone & CC3, you can see the image sequence output from the image below.
Differ from Indigo Plugin, there is no need to export huge amount of frame-by-frame scene data before rendering.

Lighting and Shadow

iClone uses a special treatment of real-time lighting and shadow by casting shadow via Shadow Caster without a light. It allows to turn off shadow for a specific light.
Iray is a raytracer system with true physically based rendering, which means that any light, emissive mesh, even IBL can cast shadow. In other words, there won’t be any shadow appears if there is no light source exists.

Example: it shows iClone can turn off shadow, but Iray can't.

Example: It shows iClone can purely cast shadow using shadow caster, while Iray can't do it without a light source. It explains why you see the shadow difference in WIP 1 video.

Supported iClone Post Effects

In the the first Iray PlugIn release, we will focus on Iray’s photorealistic rendering, iClone camera and light mapping, as well as the full MDL material support. We do hope we can deal with other post effects like LUT, HDR, or NPR in the future development.
