In Character Creator 3 Iray is used for photorealistic image rendering not animation rendering.
That's an excellent clarification Peter, thank you. I'm just wading into this today, and that was my first ponderment... puzzlement... whatever that word is when you don't have enough information to get properly confused yet, LOL

Not really sure. Don't sound fair to me. The price for the full stand alone version includes a pipeline to export. But those who own IC 7 pipeline already purchased the export ability. So basically we either getting a free version, or pay a full price (never mind a discount - everyone gets it) for Auto-skin/Auto-weight and for Polygon optimization/re-mesh (I would not use GoZ). There should be a special discount for IC pipeline owners IMHO. And then when it comes to the next upgrade we again have to purchase both pipelines separately?

I plan to pre-order Character Creator 3 Pipeline + Iray Render Plug-in + CC Essential Complete Bundle (Export Version)
The total says $279
I already own the 3dxchange pipeline version and iclone etc.
Is this the upgrade price?
What is the special price when the checkout total is over $150?

Hi Craig, The price of $279 is the uniform special pre-order price for the complete bundle. There is no additional upgrade or member discount. However if you wait until launch then the Member/Upgrade price will be $349 so you will be saving substantially if you pre-order now.

Wait! What? So, there will be TWO versions of CC3?
In future videos, I suggest that you really should state that there will be two versions of the program, and delineate which features will be exclusive to the alternate version. There was NONE of that in the CC3 WiP1 video. I seen no mention whatsoever of an alternate version. It only showcased the new features like the one that would simplify making new Cloth assets. I was SOO looking forward to just importing pre-made, or hand-made meshes from modeling programs, and it working seamlessly. Eliminating the need for the trial-and-error associated with that. So many errors, and program crashes. :(
Indeed there will be two full versions of Character Creator 3. One will be the free upgrade version for iClone 7 users, and the other will be the full featured standalone version called Character Creator 3 Pipeline. Questions for Peter or Miranda
Quite some time ago GoZ was advertised as being included in a new release option for IClone and I purchased that option but then Reallusion for some reason
changed the content of the upgrade and GoZ was not included. No refund for this being offered.
So I have already paid for this so will I get it now. Later than charged for.
Also The CC Essentials complete Bundle again I have purchased all the morphs clothes and hottest hair (export version) so will this be updated on my account to work with CC3 or will Reallusion be making this a money getter
by making me purchase another version of what I already have.
Hi Duchess, Unfortunately GoZ support is only in Character Creator 3 Pipeline (the standalone version). It is not part of the free iClone 7 version of CC3. CC Essentials on the other hand will be fully compatible with both versions of CC3 so you certainly won't have to pay again.

"3D Scan to CC"
I'm surprised no one has asked about that yet. So we'll be able to generate character faces from scans of people's heads the way we used to be able to create character heads from photos? Will we need some specialist hardware for that or can we again just use photos we take ourselves?
