My G2 characters are all distorted at the elbows. I'm doing a fresh install of the old content and this is what happens in battle stance. Graphics card: ATI Radeon 6950.

Jim Finch

UPDATE

To make all the new features of iClone5 available to older G2 avatars, they have to be retargeted to the G5 bone structure when opened in iClone5. The results of this is that when the avatar is combined with certain motion files it will cause the distorted elbow effect shown above. Using Edit Motion Layer can help with this problem.

The iClone team are looking further into this issue and hope to have a tutorial available soon to help workaround this distorted effect.

way back when I was converting the truebones motions, there were similar issues...some of the motions would contort the characters, joe had to do something to the motions itself to get them to work correctly.... nothing i could do in the character itself would help it. so i'm guessing that a tool in the same concept as bvh hacker would fix this.

Hi Everybody!
I've noticed (at least on my PC) that when you make a character talk (in the TYPE mode as in the IMPORT mode), it is terribly in late by the audio with the lip sync (under pixel shading).
Any Idea?
Thanks for any reply

Chuck really doesn't like the Indoor Project.  In fact, he really kinda flips out over it.  See screenshot.

I am disappointed to hear that it will be a tutorial workaround to fix this distortion.  I was hoping that Reallusion would release a patch to fix the G2 problem.  Not only have people purchased the G2 Clone Cloth packs which were extensive but also additional content from Reallusion content store and marketplace.  There is a lot of G2 content out there and it is a really good clone cloth.

I reported this flaw very quickly after release and I hope Reallusion will look at this again and consider a patch.

Quite right Shy and well said.  I couldn't agree more!

I have a large collection of extremely useful G2 characters & cloth including Natural base. Don`t want to "work round" when I need to use these.

A fix patch please RL.:)

Iam very disappointed that we cannot launch crazytalk to iclone 5 directly like we had the option in iclone 4. we have to take the crazytalk separately and do the facial animation and then we have to import that one to iclone 5.Is it correct?
or Is there a crazytalk option in iclone 5 which i cant see?

When I try to open one of the new G5 iavatar files in 3dxchange4, it gets "import file error".

Is working with the G5 meshes going to be allowed in 3dxchange4, or will it only be supported in 3dxchange5?
