Hi Jeff
I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with iClone. It seems t
hat Support has been working with you to try and get this problem resolved but has so far not been able to find the cause of the problem. Because of this I would recommend you keep in contact with Support as a resolution may eventually be found.
Generally when you have an issue t
hat affects everyone, or a large number of users, then it is easier to diagnose and fix. Sadly when an issue is specific to one computer setup then the problem can be difficult to diagnose and sometimes regrettably impossible to fix.
One thing t
hat stands out to me is t
hat you are using a Workstation graphic card and iClone has always run more reliably with gaming graphics cards. We even at one point did not support Workstation graphic cards because there were many known issues. However, with the introduction of RTX, compatibility with Workstation graphics cards has improved, but sadly still not without issues as you have found.
There is no doubt you have an extremely powerful computer, but ironically you may well find you get much better reliability with a less powerful "gaming" setup with something like an Nvidia 4080 or 4090 instead of the A6000. This is down to the fact t
hat iClone uses real-time graphics more akin to a gaming engine than traditional 3D modelling software where Workstation graphics normally excel.
