The screenshot attached shows that when I'm zoomed out the background looks lower against the character's face, a different camera angle than when I'm zoomed in.

Is there a way to change this so that zoomed in shots keep the same background basically? I've tried to insert the background a a prop to position behind me when I'm zooming in but I can't move a prop that big -- maybe I just don't know the interface.

Looking for tips, tricks, etc., thanks!

I don't have CTA, so hopefully someone else can confirm this.

You would have to adjust the lens. Under Project Settings, adjust the Perspective/Lens slider to the left to get a wider angle lens. See this section of the help:
http://www.reallusion.com/crazytalk/Animator/help/animator/pro/02_Project/Project_Settings.htm

Now, from reading this, it seems like you may have to do the zoomed out shot in one project, and the zoomed in shot in a different project - each with different lens settings.

Can someone else confirm this?

Keith is correct.  The Perspective camera, along with varying z-depth of scene elements causes the different backgrounds at different zoom levels.  Playing with the camera lens (in Project Settings) can alleviate it, or perhaps change the overall camera to Orthographic instead of perspective, although doing so on my work laptop didn;t appeear to work at all, gotta try it on the better machne at home...

Thanks for the replies. Yes, that (lens setting to 35mm) does alleviate it slightly, but not enough to really solve it. Sounds like I probably would need to make two projects and combine the videos. Not sure if it's that important, but may consider.

Thanks a ton for the quick responses!
