I saw this post yesterday and thought about it for a few minutes, this is what I came up with:
If you look below you'll see a sample of a prop/project which should be available tomorrow on
Clones2go; or today, depending on the time you see it of course.
There is a clip below called "
Mantel Steps" which shows what anyone else can create using the guidelines in the video clip. It took about an hour to create this, and it works pretty well to a degree.
The project that will be uploaded does not contain anything except the walking blocks and an invisible character. Just select the invisible character in the scene manager for the project, and then substitute in your character by double-clicking them...it's a direct replacement and the characters motions and edits are retained that the project provided includes. Don't move anything and the Living Room prop in the Mantel Pack will load in perfectly lined up to complete the scene you see in the video clip.
This is but one method, and isn't perfect, but if all goes well it will generate a few thoughts of using the same method for other projects that you and others create.
Have fun, and you don't have to have the project to accomplish this, as it is not perfect. You can just duplicate what you see, and go to town in your already made project. More lessons can be had from me on SKYPE at learn.iclone..I don't know it all, even though I have been accused of being a know-it-all....I just laugh, because I only know what I know and I like thinking outside the box....boxes are for those who want the world closed in around them...reach up and throw back the flaps...it's amazing what is outside that box!
