HI!I recently bought cc3 and I am happy with it.
I mainly use it for Daz characters.
Sometimes it works perfectly and other times it requires more work, speccially the weight painting.

I am having a problem with the following pant model:
https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/d32496b8-d8d5-4987-8d9c-f8d3.jpg

I Tried to smooth the weight paint and smooth the mesh in that area.
Also try to paint it manually.
The problem is that if I correct for a certain pose, it breaks for others. And the mesh starts to freak out in the paint process, making the process really frustrating.

Can someone recommend me what to do in these cases?
Any advice/ recomendations?

Thank you

i hate when that happens,   for pants like that ...you might be better off rendering in Iclone with cloth physics enabled,   it's going to be hard to find a sweet spot for oversized clothing in a static mode,   the baggy nature of that design needs the cloth to be fluid,  not fixed.

Thanks for the response!
I understand, however I need to export the character to UE4.
I could use some cloth physics in the engine too, I was just trying to get the best I can in CC3.
By the other hand, In DAZ3d the weights are just fine with no cloth simulation.

if they look fine in daz,  then maybe you can take a screen cap of how the weight mapping looked in daz ...and see what changed in cc3 ?   this way you can tweak it to have the same nuance ....remember ....you never really import the mesh from daz to cc3,  it gets morphed to a new mesh ...so the weight mapping is bound to change some.

Well, I tried for a while but don't get good results.
I understand that those pants can be tricky and I can't blame CC3, maybe it's not robust enough yet to map all of DAZ's clothing options.
However, I tried to change the pants for a simpler one, let's say, super simple ones, but the same thing happens.

I think this is a constant.
In relaxed positions, it looks relatively good, but not when the legs are spread apart.

I think this case is a little bit simpler to solve, but if you have any advice to avoid the extra work in my pipeline (in fact this is cc3 pipeline about, right?) it Is welcome..

Thanks!!

If you get this with an A pose (with the legs spread apart in Daz) exported to CC3, then tell me exactly what Daz pants they are (give me a link to the Daz site for them) and I'll check them out.
