I installed CrazyTalk 6pro but when it opens the model appears all blurry.

Tried loading a different model... same problem. I tried a custom model... same problem.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling... same problem.

It even shows up blurry if I output to AVI or FLV, the only two I tried.

I've attached some snipits and as you will see it appears that the blurry model is in a layer above the actual model. When first selecting the model to load it loads fine until it loads all of the actions and what not.


Running on Windows 7 Ultimate, directx 11... CrazyTalk5 pro worked fine with these apps.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

This could possibly be a graphical error related to CT6 and Windows 7. Currently Windows 7 isn't a fully supported operating system for Crazytalk. I would advise contacting technical support who may be able to offer help on how to resolve this issue.

Hi Peter and thanks for responding.

I did submit a support ticket before I posted here, and since then did get a reply. They suggested I update my graphics driver and I spent most of the afternoon making sure that was done.

All the latest updates were and are installed so this is probably not my answer. Unless the Windows 7 driver itself is the culprit! As I stated when I replied to the support ticket, CrazyTalk 5 Pro has worked fine under this operating system, actually works better!

I don't have a high end graphics card, in fact it's mother board integrated which is where this all gets confusing. Microsoft claims its a 945 Express Chipset Family where as HP considers it an NVIDIA GeForce as far as drivers are concerned.

This is what I'm working with and any help resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

From your description it clearly looks like you have an Intel 945 and if this is the case then you should be using Intel drivers. The problem is that Windows 7 is still only at Release Candidate stage and driver issues are common. You can take a look at the link below and see if there is a newer driver available for your system. Proceed with caution though as installing wrong drivers can have serious consequences to your sytem stability.

Hi

I'm having the same problem.

Same CT 5 Pro works CT6 pro originally loads a picture ok then after a few minutes it goes blurry.

On Vista but the point is why does CT5 work and not CT6

Hi Paul,

The reason why you can experience problems with Crazytalk 6 but not with Crazytalk 5 is simply down to the advances in the facial technology used in CT6. These advances put higher demands on your computer and especially the graphics side of your system. It is just the same situation as PC users face in the gaming world. While a system may have run the latest games two years ago it will now struggle with the current releases.

After saying all that, in your case it may simply be you need to do a couple of things to get Crazytalk 6 working just fine. Please look at the advice given by Technical Support and try and see if it helps you.

1) We suggest upgrading your graphics card driver to the latest version.

2) If you are running the other applications at the same time, please stop them first.

3) Make sure that your PC has enough system resources.

Hello again Peter and thanks for responding again.

I've been out of town all week and once back I started trying to resolve the blurry model issues again.

I am pleased to announce that my problem using Windows 7 has been resolved. :D

It was indeed a driver problem and was happy to see an updated driver for my chipset and after installing it, CrazyTalk 6 works great!

For anyone else using Vista or Windows 7 with similar graphic problems, you may have to search Microsoft's Downloads to find the updated driver for your system, as was what I had to do.

Windows 7 users will find that the tool for checking your drivers will not work with the release version. Don't be fooled by the error message saying "Your system is not supported", that is only for the tool, not the operating system itself or the drivers.

Also Vista users may have to update the graphics controller drivers as well. Microsoft usually packages them together but if you are still having problems you may look into the controller drivers as well.

Hope this helps anyone else with similar issues.

I've got the same problem that others are describing, but on a Windows XP system. Crazytalk 5 works great, Crazytalk 6 has blurred out images EXCEPT for the razor sharp mouth and eyes.

NOT good.

Have you tried updating your graphics drivers? Crazytalk 6 does require more graphical power than Crazytalk 5 so you should ensure you are all up to date with your drivers. It can well make a difference as shown in the posts above.
