Thanks for the comments everyone. What you see is strictly inside iClone after export from DAZ and import by Pipeline to iClone.
As far as a tutorial, there is a document package sold on the DAZ Store that shows you how to create a character from a mesh (Gingerbread Man) and animate it. It is titled "
Rigging Original Figures In DS4 Pro" This was mentioned before on the forum, I believe by Vidi.
The document runs through everything step by step, and if you follow it religiously, you begin to get a sense of how characters are made inside DAZ. Just takes patience and a whole lot of grasping of the concept behind mesh, bones, and weight mapping. By the time it is done, you'll have a Gingerbread character that walks. Facial animation is a whole
'nother ball of wax. This is how I learned to do characters such as Homer, amongst others. I just finished updating Homer about an hour ago, adjusting weight maps and bones.
Even though I have Homer talking by use of a Jaw Bone, my next step will be to do a few facial morphs so he can say things like "D'oh" and look like Homer does in the cartoon animated series, in it's more than 25 year history. It is a whole lot of learning and no single video would, or could, show everything any one person would encounter. It is much easier to follow a document and turn the pages than to hit pause and rewind constantly.
The fact alone that the GUI inside DAZ can be personalized for each user, keeps some confused as to what options to choose, and where they are in the menus, windows and panes.

This is the character (somewhat) of what the DAZ Tutorial will show you how to create. I've went beyond the tutorial, but it is very similar to the original model.
Very Simple character, but it works really well for a Gingerbread Man. I went a bit beyond the base tutorial, but I wanted to see if I could get the Gingerbread Character to appear as if it could talk. It uses standard motions and facial edits inside iClone and/or DAZ, now.
P.S.
That is me singing...for those interested. (None I bet) * smile *
This is SLim... another character I made 36 versions of in DAZ over 30 days. It uses no bones in the face, but morphing only.
Chapter 36 Part 2 of 2 (The adventures of Pinocchio) "A complete narrative of the original story" Chapters 1 through 36... also available on
