Hello, I am experiencing an issue when rendering in iClone, and I would like to seek support. In my project, I am using 3-4 explosion effects from the PopcornFX Library. However, during the rendering process, the program crashes in the scenes where these explosion effects are present. My animation project is not complex; it’s a mid-level video, but the crashing issue only occurs in the explosion scenes.

The only adjustment I made was slightly increasing the global scale of the explosion effects; I didn’t change any other settings.

My system specifications:

  • Processor: Intel i5 12400F
  • Graphics Card: MSI Armor 8GB 256-bit RX570
  • RAM: 24GB DDR4 3200MHz

There are issues with PopcornFX in recent iClone releases (some have been reported in FT).

I had also problems with explosions and used the explosion available from mtakerkart, which works fine: https://marketplace.reallusion.com/vfx-mt-pack-01.

Hi there, this issue was there since IC7. This is caused by popcornFX particles who have sound effects in them, sometimes on larger projects, they tend to crash things up. Since the explosion has a sound effect included, it will cause IC to crash in most cases.

What fx preset exactly were you using ? I tried Blast.ipfx today with slightly different settings and can not confirm what you describe.
I can save the project and render an mp4.
