Hi Catpickle!

I also struggle with this in scenes. For example in Jupiter, the parts leaning towards the light were so reflective/reflective that I went a bit absurd and used a metal effect (metalness) to pull down the strength of the shining parts of Jupiter. Sometimes it's a bit of a trial/error to find a suitable illumination. 

That's why I also chose to go the route of pre-made scenes/projects, so that the user doesn't have to tinker so much and can use the finished scene directly. But I understand that this is not always convenient.

after the last update I tested some projects that had bugs and now they seem to be fine. Can you please check if the display errors on the Reallusion side have been fixed yet?

Unfortunately nothing has changed on my end thus far.
It still shows the wire-frame in GI translucent mode for objects with opacity less than 100 (GI being turned ON of course).

Thank you for checking, 

all my previously problematic scenes are now displayed without error. That's why I needed this feedback. I assume you have the latest nvidia gpu drivers.

I attribute this to the fact that I was forced to switch to an older version of the nvidia driver - 537.58

It was recommended to me by Omniverse support after a series of problems with GPU detection on my nvidia geforce RTX 3060.

So it seems that in this version everything is still working fine and it is probably related to the graphics card driver. similar problems with the new nvidia drivers are also reported by other programs.

I also wanted to get to the bottom of it, as a few of my items at the marketplace were also affected by this problem.
I have the same NVIDIA drivers and I kept checking for this issue fix after each RL update.

After some more digging, I found out that they have actually partially fixed it (I did not try to render yesterday).
So now it renders just fine, but still does not display correctly in view-port on "High".
"Alpha Transparency" check box in Real-time render option makes a difference.

I am attaching a simple cube project for testing. Just make sure to switch to "High" for real-time.

Update: another issue I found out about. If you enable a Tessellation for the Translucent GI object,
it becomes completely transparent (not even a wire-frame) and it does not render at all.

I see there have been major updates to IC8 and CC4, 

I have an older nvidia driver installed, due to other complications with the Omniverse, and under this driver I don't get the bugs we are addressing here. Can someone please confirm if the latest updates have fixed the display errors?

Finally I upgraded to the latest nvidia driver, after updating to IC 8.5 it seems that the display problem is finally solved. Please others if they could check for themselves.

Thank you all very much for your patience, we have been waiting for this major update for quite a long time, but thanks to Reallusion for sorting it all out!

Finally I can continue to create more space kits :-)
