brucez_060574 (10/6/2022) i basically animate with free bones in 2d editor....that is keyfram by key frame with me manually changing movements. I would like the ability to animate in realtime the way i can with a head clone...or in my crazttalkHi... Thanks for explaining more. Cartoon Animator 4 already has Face Puppet the same as iClone and CrazyTalk so you can record facial animation in realtime. This will be the same in CTA5. In addition, you can also record facial animation in realtime using facial mocap. You can do this using just a webcam with Face3D or with an iPhone using Live Face.

ActorCore motions and many other motion packs can already be used in Cartoon Animator 4 without iClone. To use purchased ActorCore motions with CTA4 you just go to your Content Inventory below, click the Install.RLD link for the motions you want, and then choose CTA4 as the destination. https://marketplace.reallusion.com/inventory-listHi Peter, following your advice I tested two ActorCore motions inside Cartoon Animator 4. I downloaded and installed them via the inventory list. Unfortunately both motions do NOT work with Cartoon Animator. I tested all options of the 3D Motion importer with standard G3 360 figures of CTA4. Parts of the bodies were chaotically contorted and there was no chance to fix it. Could it be because you need iClone after all? Kind regards Hartmut [Edited By Moderator for Formatting Issues]

Hi Peter, I have to correct myself. With further testing of the 3D Motion Importer in CTA4 I managed quite good looking results. Not perfect but usable. :-)
Kind regards Hartmut

There is a spectacular price difference with iClone 8. Can you confirm the upgrade price from CA4 is just $99 ? 2D animations are much more popular on social networks like YouTube or TickTok than 3D. CA5 become a much more interesting software to produce top animated popular content than iClone.

pgibouin But the technical challenge of developing 3D software is much bigger. That explains the higher price to me.
