I just bought a Meta Quest 2 head set with controllers in the hope that I might be able to use the Glycon software for  motion capture (with the fingers). When I opened the box, I followed all the instructions, but I wasn’t able to pair my headset and neither connect to wi-fi. I spent hours and hours at this. I tried to contact Clifton Webb by email twice:  no answer. Finally, I contacted Facebook (now owners of Oculus). The clerk said that was a known issue that affected thousands of owners across the world and that they were working on it; they are going to contact me by email when it is resolved.

A word to the wise.

Good thing I have. 30 days return policy with Amazon.

There is a discord for Glycon: https://discord.gg/cp3GCMuT (this link works, hopefully).

There is a dedicated #support channel, so you could try that.

Thanks for the tip, animagic, but I get the notice that the web address is invalid.

No matter. My Oculus Meta Quest 2 headset works now! I communicated with my Internet provider and they sent me my router password. I was under the illusion that I had the good password, but I was wrong. They had the good password.

As for the pairing, after messing with my headset for another hour, and receiving further help from Facebook, I finally was able to pair it. I think my phone was too close to my headset before.

Now I’m in another world! I don’t know if I want to come back…

Glad you got it working. I would be interested about your experiences, as I'm sure others will be.

This is a test of the Meta Quest 2 ability to track fingers. Glycon, which is the software that permit to motion capture, just adapted it. I am extatic. And this is only my first try.
