rampa (11/22/2016) There is only one version of iClone 7, and it is "Pro". Look at the very bottom of the iC7 page. That is why the upgrade price is the same for peeps coming from either version of previous iClones. It still doesn't make sense, really, as the Pro users already paid more and the Pipeline users even more... Especially for the Pipeline users it is painful when wanting to upgrade to the next Pipeline. Anyway, from long experience I know that I'll get sympathetic words from Peter, but the offer won't change...:crying:

To further add to my already considerable confusion, I find two different pricings for the Pipeline version: On the Pre-sale page it is this: But in the table it is this: $379 sounds better than $529, so I hope that's the correct price for the pre-order upgrade.

This is really great news. :):smooooth:Will a user be able to create custom Heads from photos within the new version, or will they still be required to purchase the CT Pipeline to accomplish this? :Whistling::blink::unsure:

Someone told about PBR rendering, how does it differ from the current feature? About Hitfilm - will it replace Indigo rendering - or is it for video-editing purpose?

PBR stands for 'Physically Based Rendering'. I assume it's going to be a render engine similar to Iray, or perhaps Marmoset if its a real-time renderer. At the moment, I believe iClone uses a non-PBR game render engine, which is nice and fast, but comparatively low on the quality scale. Which is why the Indigo plug-in exists. PBR will make use of some of those extra textures to produce more realistic renders. There's a very good PBR FAQ on Marmoset's website, which should give you a better understanding. http://www.marmoset.co/toolbag/learn/pbr-practice

In this jungle of excitement and expectations, I'm wondering if anyone has spotted the System Specifications anywhere :Whistling:Regards the new structure and naming system, I see what they've done and understand it (I think), but from a naming perspective at least, it seems a bit weird. So iClone only comes in one version now, but the 3DXChange modules are still extra and still named PRO an PIPELINE. The resaon I think the naming is weird is that they effectively have three products now, named as follows : - iClone 7 - 3DXChange 7 PRO - 3DXChange 7 PIPELINE Now if I have that correct, it's a weird naming system, because you could still have those three products and just name them logically as follows : - iCone 7 - iClone 7 PRO - iClone 7 PIPLELINE That would obviously be a more logical naming system for it, so I don't understand why they would rename iClone to 3DXchange in two instances, just because it has that feature added to it. Surely it will confuse people looking for iClone!

There has been some adjustments how to use B2M textures in iC. Sure the upgrade to iC7 will give some advantages.

This is great to see, but like several here I'm confused about the 'upgrading' options. As I own 'iClone 3DXchange 6 Pipeline / iClone 6 PRO / Character Creator (Free) / CC Essential Morphs & Skin', I guess the 'iClone 7 Studio Pipeline Suite' package would be my upgrade. Is this price ["Member Price: $529.00"] the same for anyone upgrading from any previous suite???

If you read all the bundle options they all only offer iclone 7 and there is only one version for sale if you purchase just iclone and not any of the 3dexchanges. There is also this at the bottom of the page Notice:- iClone 7 is only available in one edition.
- The Beta will be released in early 2017.
- iClone 7 & 3DXchange 7 are only available for Windows.
- This promotional campaign is only available for purchases made through the Reallusion Official store.
- Reallusion reserves the right to make any changes at any time without prior notice.
