I had already started the cast for my project "Colour Blind" in Iclone 5, and sort of hesitated recreating them in IC6. However I took the plunge and have decided to create the main characters again, giving them a higher definition look.
using CC is a lot of fun, except when forgetting to make incremental saves to the characters to enable aging over time. The following two characters have been done entirely in CC with the use of external pictures stretched and manipulated in Photoshop. As I said it has been fun but the only peeve I've found so far with the process is the limited morphs on certain facial alterations in CC which means having to go back and forth from IC to CC to make extra changes. An alien made in CC ; rendered in Indigo and retouched in Artrage (airbrushed touched up face shadows only). This render was made in Iclone 6. Which one is best in your opinion? just curious.

My opinion is it's apples to oranges -- lighting and background is different so very difficult to compare. For some purposes I'd like the second, for others the first. Both look nice, though.

MistaG (9/26/2015)
Hello Everyone! This is my first post at the forum. Just recently acquired iClone with CC pack. So I am a week old "icloner". A main reason I purchased an iClone was to try to animate my doll. I found CC very impressive but I am miserably failing to create a character of my doll thus far. Guess, I should attribute that mostly to the lack of artistic skills. After a few days of struggle I come up with this character. Well, she resembles Phoebe (doll) to some degree, but it is very far from perfection I had expected. :ermm:Here is a pictures of Phoebe and her character (from calibration). @MistaGI only just noticed this thread (way too many departments on this forum), and despite being amazed at how flexible Character Creator is (wow), it's really your post that caused me to reply. I love people who go against the flow like that, who couldn't care less what others might think - so a massive thumbs-up to you :)As soon as I saw your post I thought to myself, man, there's gonna be some comments about that one, and sure enough there was. I know that in places like Japan for example, those dolls are big-time popular, but some cultures just haven't caught on to the love doll thing yet. To be honest, I was gonna buy one myself many years ago when I first started learning photography, thinking she'd make a great alternative to a real model, something to pose and practice glamour photography on. I know some of those dolls are incredibly realistic and would easily pass for a human if the lighting was carefully set up, like this one : https://secure.realdoll.com/?projects=Olivia-realdoll2-config-2She's way too pricey for me, but I'd freaking love to have her in front of a camera, I'd have a whole bunch of them if I could afford it. Anyway, nice one, MistaG, your post made my day and you did make a good job of capturing her with Character Creator - she's a hottie!
Yup, and I'm a sucker for girls with thick eyebrows too :D

Character Creator is pretty neat... Here is the current iteration of Prof. Carlton Devereux. He grows on you...

In reference to the stormtrooper example on here... this is my first time posting and I don't know how to comment directly on their post... call me a straight noob with this stuff... I very much am one. But how did you make those uniforms? Was it done in CC or did you have to export them?
