I've already created G5 characters, and have no interest in G3 characters. There's definitely a big difference in quality. 

You could try using G3 Characters & swapping their heads with G5 Character  heads. You can use Character Body Proportions Tool, to match those of your G5 Characters. I've done it many times. Otherwise; it's get a refund  for G3 clothing pack & purchse G5 Clothing.

I agree with getting a refund.

Did you check the Marketplace: http://city.reallusion.com/marketplace.aspx? Many options there as well and you can often buy individual pieces. One thing to be aware of is that many of these require certain base content, but that is clearly indicated.

If you plan to do a lot with clothing, it may be useful to look into getting iClone 5 CloneCloth. Items of clothing are often based on CloneCloth. However, if you have iClone 6, you may want to wait with investing too much at this time as new options for clothing will be coming, I believe. That said, G5 characters work fine in iClone 6 and there are more clothing options available for them
