I was trying to convert a character I was bringing in from Daz's studios and tried converting it to a high resolution base 4K which then crashed my computer cause a blue screen of death and now my operating system is bricked has anyone else encountered anything like this

I can't even get to my system restore now I man didn't think running a converter would do so much damage 

Sorry to hear you have had computer issues.

Crashing to desktop can occur under certain circumstances but we have no other reports of Character Creator causing these kind of serious issues. Unfortunately it seems likely you have other hardware problems that need looking at. For example, if your computer has an overheating issue with the CPU or GPU or faulty memory, then this is more likely to come to light when using software like CC4 which makes heavy use of your system resources, rather than when doing light work like browsing the internet or reading emails.

Under the circumstances It would be wise to get your computer checked out by a professional where they should be able to find the cause of the problem.

Well the conclusion was my hard drive is complete loss without the possibility of data recovery because of a partition got corrupted so I have to start completely over I'll definitely never be pressing that button ever again on the character creator and fear of it doing the same thing. the corruption was so bad it would lag other computers when I plugin it in only when I I was on my mac was I able to find out it was a unmountable partition error and I cant even format the drive so I have to pickup a new ssd.
