Please see the comparison below which explains the free features vs the features available with the SkinGen Premium Plug-in. As you can see you can customise the existing assets with the free version but to use custom assets requires the SkinGen Premium Plug-n.

Please Note: You only need the SkinGen Premium Plug-in if you wish to use custom images in SkinGen. You don't need it to be able to customise the general textures and material layers of the base skin layer outside of SkinGen.

I'm new to CC4 and am trying to figure out what I can and can't do in it.  I assumed that I could create some custom texture elements and add them to the base figures, but it appears that you can't change the texture elements at all within CC4 without the purchase of the Skin Gen plugin.

Is this actually the case? Apparently you could modify at least mask elements in CC3 based on procedures listed in the online manual but that approach no longer seems to work in CC4 that I can find.

Can you modify mask or texture elements on the base figure in some way I haven't discovered yet?

If there is any place to insert my own textures/masks into the shading network within CC4, please point me to the info on how to do this.

Thanks!
