Is there any way to create facial accessories that conform with the face?

The way this is usually done, I believe, is by converting the accessory to cloth, because cloth can follow the movements of the face. I've never done this myself, but after converting the accessory to cloth, you would select Transfer Weights (something like that), which would give the cloth the correct weights. Hopefully some real expert will chime in...

Thanks, but it is a cloth accessory. It moves with the body, and the jaw evens opens. It seems to respond to the bone weights, but the face has a lot of shape keys associated with it. I tried (in Blender) copying the shape keys, then exported it back, but that did not resolve it. I understand that there is a conform tool for hair accessories, but this is much more than a hair accessory and I doubt that would work.

Actually, converting it to a hair accessory works as long as it does not go pass the neck. I will just create it in 2 pieces.

If someone knows a better way it would be appreciated. Breaking the suit in half is a work around, but it has a lot of tweaking, like the hair accessory doesn't let you hide mesh. This will do until something better comes alone.

You can rig the mask as facial hair. That way it animate perfectly with the expressions. Any mesh that goes on the face, hair or otherwise can be rigged as facial hair. See here: https://manual.reallusion.com/Character-Creator-4/Content/ENU/4.0/08_Creating_Custom_Assets/Creating-Custom-Smart-Hair.htm

One of the possible solutions. Head mask (original head shape) was made separate from body suit, but both were created from the character body mesh. Head mask is also slightly overlap the body suit. In CC, Head mask was imported as Beard accessory to keep the shape, but later converted to Hair Base/All. I have also created a flat displacement map for both to control the mask/suit height above the body.
In the video I did not hide any parts of the body mesh, but you can always hide the body mesh by Editing avatar body directly in Sculpt mode (click on "eye" icon to start hiding faces with sculpt brush). Or, by the mean of Opacity maps.
Same mask/suit saved and applied to African girl

Really appreciate the info and video. I only scanned it, but will review, your process, when I have more time. I was concerned about extending the cowl below the neck region, but it seems to perform fine in your video.
