hello, we will buy iclon 8 and cc4 for our project. In our project, the faces of the characters need to be wrinkled while talking, we want the two characters to react physically to each other, to have features such as falling to the ground, hitting. Will your newer versions be able to do this?
If you tell us when the new versions will be announced and your roadmap, we will realize our project according to this calendar.

Hi...

iClone 8 only released in May this year so it is the latest version. There is no new version in development yet, but we will of course add feature upgrades to the current version.

Currently iClone 8 has advanced animation capabilities which will allow you to have characters interact with each other, and perform animations such as falling down and hitting each other etc. Detailed facial animation is also available with the new facial profiles as explained HERE. In addition, you can use SkinGen to age your characters but a full wrinkle system is still planned for a future update (tbc).

I would advise checking out our Courses pages where you will find many of the features you want are already available.

Thanks a lot for your reply. One of the features required for our project is the fluid system. We also need features such as a character's hand, hair and body appearing wet after touching water, can current versions of reallusion do this? When will features such as the wrinkling of the character's face when talking will be ready, have new versions and your roadmap been shared, I haven't seen it for now?
I also read great articles about motion director on reallusion magazine page, when will these updates be announced? Do we have to wait a long time when we buy?
Apart from that, your motion director packages look great. Among the new additions, there are packages such as speaking and singing on the site. Will these be on sale with the new version?

Hi...

Firstly, let me apologise for the delay in replying. Unfortunately, we recently made some changes to the forum approval system to prevent spam getting through, and sadly it meant some posts were blocked without our knowledge. This issue has now been resolved so you should not have any further problems posting.

Regarding a fluid system, currently you can make your characters look wet using SkinGen, but it can't be done dynamically such as your character going from dry to wet simply when standing under a shower. However, you can of course use the animatio0n features of iClone to achieve the same result.

For Motion Director, we have a new update coming which will add additional features and include the ability to add your own motions to the Motion Director system. Please look out for an announcement on this soon.

actually it was a pity for me to wait so long for a response.
Getting a definite and clear answer for our project will constitute an important roadmap for us.
I want to ask because I can't see the roadmap of Reallusion.
1-) When is a liquid system planned where we can make features such as pouring water in a glass or the rain water running on the face of the character in the pouring rain?
2-)skingen features are great, I congratulate reallusion for that. I want to ask about this topic, can we animate skingen properties in timeline? like morph animation and skin changes animation
3-) When is your new version planned, which makes realistic skin wrinkles like the grimaces of meta-human characters or like the ziva dynamic program does?
4-) Is there a rag doll physics system that can give realistic physics reactions when the characters fall to the ground? I couldn't find a feature about it, do you have a plan? If this feature is not available, when is it planned?
5-) popcorn fx has made a lot of updates, when will your plugins be compatible with the new popcorn, is there a calendar planning?
Thank you in advance for the replies, based on your answers we would like to try and buy your programs either now or if planning for a long time then. Congratulations to the Reallusion team

The liquid system you describe is not available in the current version. We also do not have any time frame planned for when such a feature may arrive.

To let us know features you would like to see added to iClone, please use our Feedback Tracker. All requested features are logged, and other users can support your request with the most requested features normally getting priority. Please click the link below to make use of the Feedback Tracker.

SkinGen is a feature of Character Creator 4. It is used during the creation of your characters. The characters you create with SkinGen can then be sent to iClone. SkinGen itself is not part of iClone and so keying SkinGen on the Timeline is not possible.

3-) When is your new version planned, which makes realistic skin wrinkles like the grimaces of meta-human characters or like the ziva dynamic program does?

The next big update for iClone (8.1) and Character Creator (4.1) is coming very soon. Please watch out for an announcement of the features included.

4-) Is there a rag doll physics system that can give realistic physics reactions when the characters fall to the ground? I couldn't find a feature about it, do you have a plan? If this feature is not available, when is it planned?

This feature is currently not available in iClone 8 and is not part of our immediate schedule. Again, please use the Feedback Tracker to let us know the features you want to see and they will be considered (if viable) for future updates.

5-) popcorn fx has made a lot of updates, when will your plugins be compatible with the new popcorn, is there a calendar planning?

Unfortunately, there are no immediate plans for an upgraded version of PopcornFX.

When is the iclon-blender data transfer mentioned here planned, so maybe we can create a liquid system in blender and transfer it to iclon.

Is there a roadmap disclosure plan for Reallusion versions 8.2, 8.3...8.9?

Our development teams are constantly working on improving the Pipeline to Blender, however we can't give release dates for features still in development as this is constantly subject to change.

Unfortunately, we also do not have a roadmap for iClone 8.2 or CC 4.2 at this time. If a roadmap for future updates is released it will be posted here on the forum.
