The pauses should really not be an issue.

Usually, my work flow for this is to put the audio file into AccuLips and let it auto-generate the text, then I go in and do whatever cleanup needs to be done, then realign.

I have never had this problem before, so that is what has me stumped. I am used to having pauses of at least one second between paragraphs, and I have never run into this before. And, to be clear, this usually happened when I initially put the audio file in; it would give me that weird message, and then it wouldn't even try to align the words properly, and I would have to do so manually. However, as soon as I cut out any pauses of more that half a second, it cleared up the problem.

It's strange, because today I worked on a clip that had long pauses in it and it worked fine.

I usually time my dialog in advance, leaving pauses for other speakers and I have not encountered problems with that.

If your specific file is sharable, I would suggest contacting RL Support while making the file available. Another option is to create a FT entry and add the file as attachment.

EDIT: Another thought: how to you provide the text for the dialog? Is it auto-generated or do you provide a text file? 

I have had the alignment was off if a word was missing in the text, but never that alignment failed in those cases.

Quick update on this problem: On a clip where it did this again, I went back and recut the audio clip into individual sentences, so that there were no pronounced pauses, and inserted them individually. Worked fine. It is a pain doing it this way, but at least it works. I hope Reallusion fixes this soon.

Based on what you just wrote, I am wondering if it had to do with the pauses in the VO. This was a recorded VO, but there were a couple of pieces where the character was speaking somewhat pensively, so there were one-second pauses between some of the statements. I wonder if that was what was confusing AccuLips.

Some audio is now provided with 96 or even 192 kHz sample rates. I would suggest staying with 48 or 44.1 kHz and 16 bits. 

There were issues at some point with aligning when there were long pauses at the beginning or the end of a clip but those were resolved.

I am having exactly the same problem. The solution to select text and align doesn't resolve the issue. I only have the problem with recorded voices and not, for example, AI Replica voices. I think AccuLips requires the audio to be recorded in quite a specific way e.g. I know 16 bit 44 wav is supposed to work and has done so in the past.

Would somebody be able to confirm the audio settings for DAWs such as Cubase, Pro-Tools and Audition?

I'm wondering whether something has happened in an update to iClone 7.9?

Any help understanding this would be greatly appreciated as AccuLips is a great tool and one of the most accurate.

Totally disregard the comments regarding Replica and actors as this has nothing whatsoever to do with getting text aligned in AccuLips.

Select the text needing alignment on the Timeline and open AccuLips. Make sure that the desired text passage is selected in the text box and then click on "Align"
It may take several seconds for the alignment to finish, but once it is you will notice that the Audio waveform is now also selected and is bordered by start and end green flags. You can now use the mouse to adjust the positions of both the start and end points so that the full waveform is marked. Once that has been done click on "Align Selected" and that should hopefully solve the issue for you.

Somebody on this forum was using a voice from Replica, and then the actor supplying the voice quit or something like that. And then the forum member was unable to
use the actors' voice in their project, and had to change voices actors. Maybe that is what happened. The actor quit who was supplying their voice to Replica, and 
they could no longer use that actors' voice anymore.
