Hello,
Can anyone tell me what file the TTS voices are kept please? Yesterday I had to do a windows reset and my CereProc voices have disappeared from the TTS list in iClone 7. I like the voices from CereProc because some of them are very expressive, great when you can't afford to pay actors... I think I may still have the voices somewhere on my computer, I have a number of drives, and if so I would place them in the appropriate file. On the same subject does anybody know of any other great TTS voices out there please?
Best regards.
Ken

Cereproc is the best from what I have found. I have read some of the research and it is odd to me that female voices are easier for computers than male voices. The UK and Scottish voices are the best, but probably because I am an American.

This article is by Microsoft if you are on Windows 10:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/how-to-download-text-to-speech-languages-for-windows-10-d5a6b612-b3ae-423f-afa5-4f6caf1ec5d3

And this is a year old, so I will investigate this myself. It has been a couple of years since I researched this, and the whole time I was thinking 'Elon is building self driving cars, and I have to pay a narrator to speak in a voice?'

Microsoft's new Edge has a Cloud Powered text to speech, so after I post this I will go read it.

To answer your question about what extension, I thought it was .tts, but just searched my machine and didn't find any.

I have been to cheap to pay for a Cereproc voice, but I use their website and record a few using Windows 10  Stereo Mix lin either Audacity or I usually use AVS Audio Editor for this.

Let me know if you find this out, now I am curious.

And I just noticed you are holding a guitar. I just published an IClone music video.

It looks better on 4K if this doesn't start that way.

Hello Data Juggler,
Thanks for your answer, I have actually got everything sorted out and have my Cereproc voices back. I agree with you about them being the best on the market, certainly I have never heard anything better. I have six voices and the great thing about Cereproc is, when you lower or make the pitch higher, you have a different voice, not an obvious altered pitch version of the voice you started with. The result is you get several different voices for the one price... As to the guitar, I was on stage (rock bands up to duos) for fifty years. I liked your tune...

Best regards.
Ken
