I've been learning to use iClone4Pro for awhile and have started working on scenes.  One of the things that I found is that I have been setting everything at 0,0,0 and then positioning from there.  However, when I place a prop from one of the City packs, it fills the screen and I find that I need to  zoom out to see what's what.  The question I have is what is the best way to start, put everything at 0,0,0 then zoom out or zoom out then put everything at 0,0,0 or should I choose a camera lens then put everyting at 0,0,0.....?

i use the same - 0,0,0 but unfortunately for large objects, it does fill the screen- this is a trade off - i f you put your camera so far that you can see hte large object, you lose the small objects - so i stick with default camera, import a 0,0,0 and resize the large objects so i can see it and then position it and enlarge as needed

Hi SJ,
here are a few tips for setting out your city layout:
1) Load object
2) press "f" key
3) place model into place
4) repeat.

Why load an object at a time and put it in place Immediately?
Speed! and... it will give a cleaner view of your layout as you put it together, thus allowing you a better composition.
The "f" key will autofit the object on screen for you automatically and it will give you enough room for you to move stuff around.
Also if you are using reallusion city pack products they use the grid system, so take advantage of that. Turn your snap to grid on for fitting road pieces in. The hot key is CTRL "w" to turn it on and off.

Hope this helped,

Stuckon3d

BTW this is exactly what you are going to learn on the Free intro class im giving. So if you can, sign up. Its free and there are tons of tips like this one. ;)

Thanks Stuckon3d,

Excellant Class!  I usually stay away from HotKeys but after your class showing how quickly things can be done, I'm going to make every effort to learn (my index finger is beginning to wear out).

Once again thanks for the info!!!!
