Hi,
How do I get wind effect like hair and dresses just gets effected by wind intensity?
Character is standing in mid of a storm, he is holding there tightly... His hair, shirt/jacket and pant wave increase rapidly as the wind becomes stronger...

Thank you...

Some of the "terrain" elements, like trees, grasses, plants, have a "wind" setting. That should help to make a believable scene. Next that comes to my mind is the Physics tab, but I'm no pro there. Perhaps someone else here would have some pointers.

Maybe "soft cloth" as clothes could be made to blow around? Again, I'm no pro, but some else here may have better answers.

I know Trinity has clothing elements that move as she walks. Perhaps they also would move in the wind? Worth a test.

These were just the things that came to my mind when I thought of how I'd begin to solve the problem.

Peace,
Bud

Trinity has a Ribbon with a Flex Cloth or Base, for which you adjust the Flex Settings in the Flex Settings Panel. See screenshot.

There's the usual iClone incomprehensible gobble-de-gook User Manual Tut re; that. With a Marilyn Monroe dress blowing up against the wind example. Go here;

http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/help/iclone5/Pro/default.asp

And enter Flex Settings in Search.

I've spent many an hour, day, week, month, trying to fathom it out. Although I did have some success with a scarf blowing in the wind. Alley made a better job of it:). Hope you have better luck.:)

Maybe Bob Dylan Knows? ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWwgrjjIMXA

There are physics hair props that can be bought in the marketplace that respond to the physics engine inside iclone.

For the illusion of clothing fluttering in a stiff wind, you can adjust the offset of the bump map along the animation to make the wrinkles appear to move. How much or little to move the map depends on the specific details of the map, I.e. jeans with pocket and seam bump map cannot be moved much at all while a simple tee shirt map can be moved quite a bit.

THE EASY WAY!!!

Morph based models such as DAZ characters can be imported into iclone via 3dxchange and the morphs can be applied inside iclone through the facial editor. Most daz assets include morphs for wind and these can be animated in real time.

Here is an example of using daz hair with morphs.

bud,
i love your answer. approaching things from a problem solving viewpoint..+1:w00t:

people tend to forget details like wind and light and shadows, and its shows in their renders.

Quick and rough example:
