Hi all!

First of all, I'd like to thank all of our developers for their continued support in helping the Marketplace become the success it is today in such a short period of time. Your hard work and content contributions are sincerely appreciated. Smile

Reallusion opened the Marketplace as a platform which would give developers increased opportunity and freedom to publish their own content on their own time, without the need for a sometimes lengthy approval process from Reallusion, such as is required to publish in the Content Store. In providing this service, we place a great deal of trust in the integrity of our developers in that only authentic and original content will be published in the Marketplace.

We have already dealt with a couple of cases of plagiarism in the Marketplace according to the terms laid out in the CCD agreement. Thankfully, these cases have been incredibly rare considering the great deal of transactions that occur on a daily basis. If you are giving content away as a 'freebie', then the plagiarism regulations can be a little less stringent, however we strongly encourage you to please try your utmost to avoid flooding the Marketplace with unoriginal and low-quality content, regardless of whether or not it is free.

Content plagiarism is something we take very seriously. If you are going to publish content to the Marketplace, please ensure that it is original and unique. You may use Reallusion default templates as a base for your creations, but it is essential that you put your own work into creating significant modifications to both the mesh and textures of any prop or character. The more unique and customized your content is, the more valuable it will be for sale to others. Please also ensure that you include the base requirement information on your product page. This will save you a great deal of headache in the future.

We appreciate the vigilance of the upstanding members of our developer community in pointing out cases of content plagiarism to us. We take pride in maintaining an honest and open marketplace, and your support help us to keep it that way.
