Correct me if I'm wrong, but make human and other freebie model(avatar)creators always give too much headaches to export/or convert models to Iclone avatars. From my limited experience I've used only 3DS,and Obj. formats, and Sketchup, because they're the most compatible with Iclone format after conversion. Nowadays, Daz(and Poser to a degree) is gaining ground with quality and compatibility with Iclone 4. With other freebie pre-made avatars(GoogleWarehouse ),the issue of Copy right infringement,or "plagiarism" might arise. I'm still working with some programmers on a "magical" plug in for TrueSpace to Iclone pipeline. But it might not work after all. And i hope to fine tune the Poser to iclone4 conversion struggle.
So I think unless someone come up with an easy plug in or solution with our Iclone woes we will have to conform with what we have as tools to work with.
Iclone 4 and 5 rock!

Are you talking of just "heads" or full avatars? There is Creature Creator and also MakeHuman which is pretty good. http://www.makehuman.org/

Iclone + 3D Ex + Sculptris make for a pretty mean combo if you get creative enough! for example, you can make one face out of a pic, say of an alien, then a second face from say a regular picture .... save the alien face as a mold (character head ) , then make the puppet from the 2nd jpg, but morph it with the mold, tweak it with the Iclone face modding features, then further modify it / smooth it out with Sculptris. you can make an infinite combo of faces this way. not to mention you can mod each part of the body in sculptris. No need in spending much money, if any, on anything other than Iclone and 3Dx and sculptris is free. :)

Hi, I was wondering what you guys would recommend for a low cost avatar creation tool that has a good bit of flexibility in terms of creating avatars to use in Iclone. I know there's that evolver tool, but it's quite a bit limited. I already looked at Zbrush, and it's way too expensive for me.
Thanks,
