lol. I have three monitors, and it still is very hard to wrangle.

You’re right tho, it’s doable. But it would be easier with a UI tab, that’s all I’m saying.

Hi Bassline , I have 2 questions :
1-Where is NIA character in CC4 ? Didn't saw her...
2- Does NIA have all the metahuman blendshapes ? If yes , That's mean we can
import the Metahuman Animator data with the Tobby plugin ?






1. NIA Character is a sample project for UE only , as far as I know.
2. Good question , I think Toby knows it better than me ... Toby ? CC Characters don't have the same morphs as MH but nearly the same ( except bone driven facials ) so the new Control Rig translate it. MH and CC have the same CR now , so you can transfer the CR Data between them.

So that's why I thought that now it is possible to use NIA in Iclone and use the Tobby plugin to import MetaHuman facial animation.
I don't understand why reallusion forces itself to conform characters to the metahuman format rather than
create characters in Metahuman format from the start in CC4....
As Tobby said , it is sooooo much easier to animate in Iclone rather UDK.

Yes you’re totally right. I don’t really understand it but I’m sure it will become clear.

I would assume Reallusion wants to “own” their way of making characters. If they put metahumans in iClone they would have to pay Epic, which means the price of the software would go up. So I’m ok with it as it is. :)

The biggest problem is the CC face BREAKS. That is, if you combine certain sliders (even of the normal face expressions) the mesh splits and the whole thing falls apart.

The metahuman face NEVER breaks - no matter what combination of sliders you use.

It’s a fundamental difference.

Thats the core to why my plugin is so difficult - because it has to try not to “break” the iClone face when applying metahuman face data.

MH is a total different system with over 600 facial bones and for UE only.


As Tobby said , it is sooooo much easier to animate in Iclone rather UDK.

True , but there are a lot of CC4 users without IClone and they are using the Characters for Game Play.

Btw @bassline303 I would love love if you recorded yourself doing a Sequencer animation. You are so good at stuff, and I always learn so much when you record them!!!

I am def improving with sequencer but not the best

haha , thx 4 the flowers but I would do my animations in Maya or IClone cos I am so used to it. I only use the CR for cleaning up, change animations and share control rigs. Feeding_wolves has a lot of videos about it.

Hi !

this control rig is amazing! I was trying for two weeks to migrate the UE5 control rig to my CC4 characters and this arrived just in time. 

But I have one "small" issue when baking existing animations into the control rig. 
The first frame of the baked animation have the Spine1 control and neck2 control off in the z axis (Up) let me show you :
