Hi,
iClone seems to be the solution I'm looking for.
Both the lip sync and character detail are about right for my needs.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Hi, total newbie here.
Which product with cover my needs?
I'm creating video lectures for a YouTube channel.
Need to create a single character.
Need waist up animation. Lip Sync from pre-existing audio and/or written scripts.
Would like a little bit of body movement beyond the head (but don't really need much).
I'm looking for a basic solution for my needs.

Any advice would be awesome!

Hi, your easiest and cheapest solution for a youtube video presenter, as you described
would be Cartoon Animator 5 at only $149 dollars.
Iclone at ,$600 USD, might be overkill. and you probably do not need to get involved
with any complex motion capture set ups for this.

The only thing cheaper is Daz studio which is free
but you will have to pay for customized Characters beyond the very generic looking default genesis models.

Here is the text from your post converted to audio with AI. and applied in both programs.

Hi, you can check out this video at around 10:00, it's using iClone8, AccuLIPS, and our webcam based mocap solution to do the videos you described.
