Just get the fastest upgrades you can afford, buddy :) no great secret to it. Currently the fastest is a 4090 with a core i9-14900. But that’s $$. So just go with the best you can.

Yeah, so you have SSDs already thats good , most important is the GPU with a lot of VRam for UE Rendering.
The new Nvidia RTX5000 series will be released soon , maybe wait for this so the RTX4000 series will be cheaper.

The reason 3090 or 4090 is best for UE is the vram - they have 24g of vram. I’ve found Unreal a nightmare with other cards, myself, as soon as I try to animate more than one person in a scene.

But the cpu is also a massive factor with animation. I would definitely try to get the fastest one. I do ok with an amd 5900x with a 3090, plus NVME m.2 ssds (otherwise the read speeds aren’t fast enough for large unreal projects), and lots of RAM. My system has 64gb.

I would prefer an Intel processor - I noticed a big speed drop when I switched to amd. My next machine will be a 4090 with probably a 13700k.

I have an nVidia 3090 with 24 GB. of VRAM, a big CPU and, to be on the safe side, I also bought 128 GB of RAM. My technician says that much RAM is “ridiculous”. Is it?

I really hope Unreal is busy making their own great documentation and video explainers for 5.4 right now, ready for the launch on April 20.

I find most official Unreal tech videos difficult to understand. Maybe that’s just me? They seem to already assume you know everything. Lol

I wish there was one person who worked for epic whose job was to translate things for cinematic users. So for 5.4 they could explain what it means for cinematic makers, in a really clear way, with loads of examples :)
