Thanks Basseline303.  Curiously installing the new livelink update made the camera problem disappear. No more camera movment in Unreal while using motion Director which is great.  I will keep this info in case it comes back.   :)

Am I the only one with root motion problem when using the Motion Director? It use to work well but since I updated livelink all I get is in place motion with no transform (no root motion) when using the xbox controller.

Edit: It has something to do with the metahuman because it work ok with Iclone CC characters. Perhaps root motion does not work with metahuman.

That’s so awesome that live link for 5.3 is released!

I wish, on the metahuman tool page, Reallusion said what UE versions the metahuman kit works with - the same way they do for live link. I wonder if Metahuman kit has been updated too?

Hmmm. I maybe misunderstood. Someone said in the other thread that the current dummies aren’t working with the new ue5.3 live link? I’ll have to try it myself.

It's true.. dummies are out of date... maybe they work thru livelink (which is weird), but when you want to export dummies fbx animation from IC8 and import to MTHMN into sequence, the character is distorted. This function worked fine lastly in 5.2. I read somewhere in other thread, that the 5.3 update brought some IK changes in Metahuman skeleton again. These dummies are not updated from march.

Works fine , here I tested the "f_tal_unw_Dummy" animated and exported from IClone via FBX , imported as animation into UE5.3.1.
Be sure you change the body size in the animation editor also to "f_tal_unw_body" because imported animations to the MH skeleton are always using the default skeleton size (f_med_nrw_body)
The function is only needed for Live Linking ...
