To give a brief introduction, Omniverse USD Composer (Create) is a free and powerful software.
Although it is not very mature yet so it has some bugs, the rendering is very good and is suitable for cartoon styles similar to Pixar.
The important thing is that it is faster than IRAY. But if your Project has SSS material, the speed will be slower (but still faster than IRAY).
If you have iClone, you don’t need to learn much to use OV. It is very convenient to export USD from iClone.
If you are not sure whether you should use Omniverse, I can provide you with two considerations:
one is your hardware equipment, and the other is the formality of your project.
Omniverse requires an RTX graphics card, which means at least a Nvidia RTX 2060 or 3060 graphics card. It is recommended that a 2080 or 3070 will be better in terms of speed.
I usually use Omniverse to render static images, or at most render videos within 30 seconds.
Since I only have an RTX3060 graphics card, it takes 30 seconds to render a static image (1920x1080). If there is SSS material, it takes 3 minutes to render an image.
If you are used to using other Final Render Engines, you don’t have to use Omniverse. Just continue to use the software you are used to.
They are not absolutely good or bad. Here is an introduction to people who only render in iClone.
-----------------------------------------------
If you are still interested after reading this, I will share some tips on how I use OV:
1. The USD can be placed on the server or on the local machine(C or D).
The advantage of putting the USD on the server is that it will be updated automatically in real time and allow multiple people to edit at the same time, but the local machine will not.
I usually put it directly on the local computer, and just re-read the Project if the USD is re-outputted.
2. If you export USD from iClone, usually the light intensity will need to be adjusted to OV.
This is because the lighting systems on both sides are completely different.
The Scale(Radius) of the OV light (spotlight or point light) will determine the intensity and the softness of the shadow. iClone does not. Usually I set the lighting scale first between 10 and 150cm. If the scale is less than 10, the shadow may be too sharp. If the value is greater than 150, it is inconsistent with reality.

Set the scale and then adjust the intensity. There is no commonly used value. There may be very exaggerated numbers such as 2500 or 1360000.
3. The SSS operations on both sides are not the same. If your character wants to use SSS, you can brighten the skin color in IC, because it is usually darker in OV.
4. When rendering, Total Samples need to be at least 512, and SSS materials need 1024, so that the details can be rendered.
Bounces must be at least 32, and if there is SSS material, it must also be 32.

If the details have been rendered but there is still a little noise, you can use the Denoising function to remove it.

5. Usually the contrast of the rendering result will be very strong.
You can slightly adjust the Gamma in Post Processing, or adjust the bright and dark parts, curves, etc. in Photoshop or video editing software.
But remember, if you like the Pixar style, turn down the Contrast but still keep the Saturation high

6.Omniverse has three Render Modes, Realtime, Path Tracing (Interactive), Iray (Accurate)
The experience mentioned here is based on Path Tracing Mode.
As for the difference between these three, I will not explain their calculus logic, but I can share my experience of using them.Real-Time, acceptable visual effect and the shadow looking better than iClone, but opacity of hair is not good.
Path Tracing, great visual effects, almost the same as iray, but the calculation logic of the two is different, and the speed is faster than iray(iClone Plug-in).
Iray, this Iray is slower than iClone Plug-in Iray, I'm not sure why...
If you have never used OV before, please go to the official tutorial to learn the basic operations, and then come back and read these five tips to know what I am talking about.

P.S.
I want to share my experience using Omniverse here because many of my users want to know how to render like my product images, and I feel I have an obligation to tell everyone.
By the way, I am not a native English speaker, so please forgive me if my wording is not correct. If you have any questions, you can tell me here.
Thanks All ! ! ! :D
