Look, I know I'm being whiny about this, but I'm tearing my hair out over this. The tutorial on Converting DAZ characters is about CC 3, and I'm using CC 4. So when it talks about finding the DAZ resource subfolder in the CC3+ program folder, I can't seem to find the subfolder or the Program folder. In addition to this, when I attempt to load the FBX file, I get a message saying, "FAILED TO LOAD CHARACTER, NO SUITABLE SETUP PROFILE FOUND." Is this because I'm trying to import an older character than G8? Again, I'm sorry to be such a jerk about this, but I'm really close now, and I'm obsessed.

When you use Transformer you will see on the screen below buttons to get the A or T-Pose files. If you click one of these it will take you to the correct folder for the Daz resources. By default it is: C:\Program Files\Reallusion\Character Creator 4\Program\Assets\ExternalFiles\DazResource\ 76% of original size (was 666x19) - Click to enlarge You can see the supported Daz characters by clicking the link below. Some support CC3 only and some CC3+ only so do check you are using the correct selection. https://manual.reallusion.com/Character-Creator-4/Content/ENU/4.0/09_Transformer/Compatible-DAZ-Characters.htmHowever, you can still receive errors even with compatible characters if the original creator has made changes to the mesh such as hiding certain faces. Please see the tutorial below for common causes of problems. https://youtu.be/KD36-hNJbv0

Now I see my problem, I was using CC+ instead of CC3. So now I have the basic character. BUT, can I download her hair as well?

And is there a way to convert sets/environments as well? I've got a boxing ring in DAZ that I'd like to bring over.

UPDATE:P I've figured out how to import sets, but not hair. Weirdly, the Transformer button seems to work differently on the top menu line than on the Modify panel. Huh. But I have (yet again) a further question: I can import the character itself, but not the hair. I've spoken to others who say if I export them both in the same file, it should be easy to import them together, but I can't seem to make it happen. Yes, the hairstyles I have from Reallusion Contents are a good substitute, but I was really hoping to keep the original hair. What am I doing wrong?

And Yes, I've been able to import an environment, but how do I save it as a prop in my Contents panel? Right now I can only save it as a project. And the same goes for the DAZ character model itself, and the Hairstyle, if I can ever learn how to import that.

COLINMAC2 (3/11/2023) And Yes, I've been able to import an environment, but how do I save it as a prop in my Contents panel? Right now I can only save it as a project. And the same goes for the DAZ character model itself, and the Hairstyle, if I can ever learn how to import that.Under the Custom tab in Content Manager, there are various categories. If you want to save something as a prop, you would navigate to the Prop category, select your prop, and then you can save it as prop. To keep things organized, it helps to create subfolders for various types of props, which you can do in the content manager. You can use the same procedure to save your custom characters, hairs, etc.

So I save the characters themselves as props?

COLINMAC2 (3/11/2023) So I save the characters themselves as props? No if it is a character, you would select the Actor/Character category in the Custom section of the Content Manager: 76% of original size (was 666x19) - Click to enlarge Note that in this case I have created subfolders to keep things organized. Note also that in CC character files have the extension ccAvatar and in iClone the extension is iAvatar. Because content folders are now shared between iClone and CC, I have made two subfolders: IC for iAvatars and CC for ccAvatars.
