Well, it's seems I have gotten Windows 11 upgraded for free.  I have recently made this upgrade and have mixed feelings.  I have never been a fan of windows and have been using Linux since 2008.  Windows 7 was the last version I owned.  I ended up going back to it for video transfers.  I have an older Canon with Firewire, Linux, where I could get transfers, it was difficult so I purchased windows and Vegas Video... Next best option to Premier and perpetual license. Then bought the RL suite so... looks like I am going to have windows a while might as well have the newest version LOL.

The new menu is very Linux like... for the most part.  The settings seem more organized.I like that.  They have removed the ability to move the taskbar, I like mine on top like a Mac.... There is a way to move it in the registry however you cannot center justify as the drop downs are all left justified.  Minor flaw... but do-able.

I also miss having different images on multi monitor set ups.  I have not seen a way to do this yet and to be honest have not googled it yet.

The rounded corners are nice... softens up the screen a bit.

It's a like/hate relationship LMAO

I'm slowly prying Windows 7 from my aged hands... reluctantly! 7 has been awfully good to me. With my new computer build I asked about 11 but the "experts" that built it said 11 wasn't "certified"...yet. Whatever that means so I'll hang with 10.... it's certainly new to me!!! :D

If you right click on a blank area of the task bar you’ll get a taskbar settings popup that you can click on. Under the taskbar behaviors section you can align left of center, but those are the only options currently.

While your still there click on personalize on the left. Or right click on your desktop and click personalize. Once on the personalize screen, click on background, if you right click on any of the available background previews it will give you the option to set a background for a specific screen.

It took me a couple of days to get used to Windows 11 but I like it and it’s pretty intuitive to me. But you’ll definitely run into bugs and at times they’ll push out frequent updates. I haven’t had any issues using CC3/CC4 or iClone 7/8.

Mark... Windows 7 still?  Wow!!! Congrats.  I tried to install mine and could not get drivers for a lot of things.

Miles... Yep, there is a setting for that but if you do a search you will see they removed moving the taskbar limiting it to the bottom.  When moved to the top, the drop downs are all left.  Trying to get a screen cap but it keeps vanishing LOL.  The search will appear in the center when on top however the application menu will stay left.
