I can't connect to my webcam using Faceware Realtime. I'm using iClone 8. I have a Logitech c920 webcam that works with everything else. I have a Loom video showing my settings. Any help would be appreciated.

I was just trying to do the same thing, and had the same problem.  (Searched the forums, and landed here)  I originally purchased Faceware Realtime for iClone 7, but after reinstalling Windows & everything else, I'm trying to get it setup with iClone 8 now.  It's a hassle, but I think I more or less got it working again.  (But it's only in trial mode for now, until I can get the Faceware people to reactivate my license or whatever).

Anyway, I don't know if there is an official response to this issue at all, I kind of thought everything was supposed to be self contained inside iClone 8 at this point, but to get it working on my machine, I had to reinstall "Faceware Realtime for iClone" from my account.  (The download link should be in your order history, along with whatever Faceware profile stuff you might have purchased).  As far as I can tell, it isn't available inside Reallusion Hub for some reason.  (Which makes me think iClone 8 is supposed to work without it?)

Once I got that installed, I was able to activate the green circle thing, and everything works in iClone 8 now.  (using a webcam)  BEFORE installing that though, I was having the same "Failed to connect Faceware Realtime" message whenever I tried to click the green circle.

I'm not sure if any of that information will be helpful for you or not, but the key for me is just to remember that you still need the separate program "Faceware Realtime for iClone" running, and that's kind of what connects to iClone 8 to work with the Motion Live stuff.

If your situation is different though, and you didn't purchase Faceware Realtime for iClone 7 back in the day, then I have no idea what the current process is.  (If it's been updated at all for the new version of iClone 8). Good luck!

Thank you so much! Your solution worked. It took me a while because BEFORE I could get it to work properly I had to set BOTH Realtime for iClone AND iClone8 to Run As Administrator. Otherwise it would not connect.
Now, I too have to make sue the license is accepted before the trial expires.

Thanks again Chronoloco!
