Thanks for the tip but that doesn't seem to be it. I clearly have over 105Gb of space left and that is just on drive C:
I was thinking that since my second and third drives are set to expand into one 2.5Tb partition and appears in Windows as 1 2.5Tb D: drive, maybe CC3 is seeing that the physical second disk is full and THAT is causing the problem.... but All Reallusion tools are some of the few things I installed onto my C drive so back to being confused :(

If you cleared your temporary files then you should have cleared your image cache folder too.
Another thing to check is your "Dynamic Texture Editor" settings in Preferences (CTRL+P). As you can see if you have "Enable DDS Cache" checked it is recommended you have 200GB space free to avoid problems. In this case try with both the "Enable DDS Cache" checked and unchecked to see if makes a difference. Also try clearing your cache from here as well in case your system is not clearing the cache automatically as it should do.
