Hi, this must be simple and I'm missing something - but can anyone point me to instructions on how to loop a walk cycle that has root motion (is not in place)?
Thanks!

I don't know if this will help you, but Here is a video I made with one motion only and I guess it is a loop motion. You can't cut and
paste the same motion, because it will return to the beginning. You have to keep adding the same motion at the end of the previous motion.
I bought this motion in the marketplace for $1.50.

Thank you! That works on the horizontal plane. I'm trying to do it with climbing stairs though, and while the character progresses on the horizontal, the vertical is reset every loop.

Found another thread here : https://forum.reallusion.com/439194/Animating-walking-down-the-stairs

The key is using your method (don't loop the clip, copy it) and then right click the duplicated loop and selecting Align > Root.

You can buy a stair motion for up and down in the Actorcore for $2.25 each. Look for it.
There is a walk upstairs motion also.
