Seriously though, this was loads of fun. It also makes a terrific little challenge to help new members stretch their skills into character design, without needing to make all the sprites yourself from scratch.
Facebook gives us loads of facial and hand sprites with each avatar.
(To access them, just message the "stickers" to yourself, then zoom on your screen and take screenshots to cut and paste.)
I was in a hurry, so I just used the hands and mouths from Martha, and used "Colour Match" in photoshop (recorded as an action) to change all the skin colours for all the different layers in under a minute.
Turned out quite nicely, I think.
If anyone is interested, perhaps we could share each other's avatars for free to collect a small community..?
