For years now that has been the defau
t answer for any Mac user asking any question anywhere “After buying a Mac, instead of a PC, install boot camp then Windows and use your Mac like it was a PC”
Well now that Apple no longer supports Bootcamp, what now?
I was looking at buying myself a new M1 MacBook Pro and then realised that almost all my apps have Mac native versions (Unity, Unreal, Maya, Blender) but… I bought almost every 3D app and extensions/ plugins available on the Reallusion Software Stores (that set me back a pretty penny). and far as I can tell I won’t be able to use any of it so I am forced to buy a PC laptop just because I want access to the reallusion suite of tools. Well THAT sucks…
Well bootcamp no longer works but Parallels still does… and the M1 chip with integrated graphics is apparently über awesome… but running the Reallusion suite of tools in a VM… is that even possible or is that just begging for headaches what with you only getting to use a percentage of this system’s power now, rather than all of it like under Bootcamp.
Is it a good idea to try and run these tools on an M1 MBP under virtualisation or am I forced to get a Dell instead of an Apple? (Oh how that sentence hurt to type 😳🥶) Is there anyone here with an M1 MBP that has tried this and can give some feedback, please?
