Cool , you are back Toy :) I will need some time to watch all your videos ... wow , so much work. Great that you got your 3090 finally , have you seen how expensive the RTX 3090 has become? Crazy !

Finally I am back from my great and long journey in 2D world! I even didn't play around with MetaHumans for now. Will have to scroll back in this thread to page 250! Fortunately and finally my RTX 3090 arrived just in time, so I am hungry to do some stress tests! :D

Bassline303 (6/4/2021) What ? 23min for 63 frames , there must be something wrong. 4K textures are enough , the advantages are the morphs and higher polygon count of the MHs.Followed the guide for set up here >> https://docs.unrealengine.com/4.26/en-US/RenderingAndGraphics/RayTracing/MovieRenderQueue/Set the outpur resolution to 4k rendering png images. GPU is an RTX 2070 Super so I usually get reasonable rendering times - I must be going wrong somewhere then! Did you use 64 for "temporal sample count" ? Start with 1 , mostly it looks good , if not try 8 , but 64 takes very long.

Hide the mesh under the boots in CC3 and when exporting tick "delete hidden faces" in the fbx export settings.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I thought maybe retargeting something in Unreal but I have no idea what I am doing and I can't find the shoes on the skeleton. I am not using live link. Bassline303 (6/3/2021) Did you try to render 4k with the movie render queue , there are settings for upscaling and so on... (for gpu's with less ram) ? You can render out passes and layers too , i guess. Also do not render an.avi movie , better render image files (png) .
To do a green background you can use a sphere and size it up by 100 or so , make a green material as 2 sided and add it to the sphere. But you would need to do shadow maps.
Trying with movie render queue now, only done 62/6700 frames in 23mins - that's hours to render out a minute or two of 4k footage, is that what you'd expect? that sort of timeframe is in line with Iray! so the choice is 1080p with pixelation in a few minutes or 4k in over 20hours! The issue in rendering in the sequencer is the 8k textures on the metahuman. That combined with the scene is where the GPU crashes. Question is if I limit the textures to 4k how much will I be losing? there would be no advantage over the CC3 character if I did that anyway.
