Hello, I'm new to Reallusion. I've recently bought and installed iClone 7 & Character Creator 3. I'm getting an error when add models to the scene, I inserted screenshots below. On my man rig, i got this error on my first try immediately after install. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and I get the same error. I've also installed on my Microsoft Surface and I have no errors, it works fine on my Surface and I installed them in the same manner. I've looked for the files on my main rig and they don't exist, I've inserted a screenshot below. I'm not sure while the files aren't loading on one PC and will load on another. I'm stuck cause I can't use CC3 on my main development rig. Does anyone have an idea why the texture files won't install on the one computer. Also, I'm open to suggestions for getting my main rig up to speed.

Hi...

It may be a drive access problem which is preventing CC3 installing or loading the content from a particular drive or folder.

Are you logged into your PC as an Administrator? If not that may be be the problem.

Also, are you installing to the default locations or you choosing a custom install?

To see if it is a drive access problem, try uninstalling CC3 and then reinstall choosing a different drive/folder this time. So for example, if you have installed to drive C previously, try installing the content to a different drive like D: if you have one. If you only have one drive, try installing to to a different folder and see if that resolves the problem.

The error message path looks like it is pointing to  ...\SharedTemplates\Digital_Human_Shader... but your Shared Template folder does not show that sub-directory.  Also strange that the error messages reference locations on both C:\ and D:\ -- not sure why it would be installed in 2 locations?  Have you tried the 'Browse' button (on the missing file dialog box)?  Follow the error path as far down the tree as you can and should help pinpoint exactly where things are going wrong.

@gordryd That's what confusing me too, why is it looking for those files on two different drives. I'm suspecting something not being deleted during uninstalls. I don't even have D drive.

This is exactly the problem. I had this issue before and I reported it to Miranda.
I installed the trial version before getting the full version... and found out that the uninstall does not remove all the trial files completely.
To fix this, find the folder you installed the trial in windows explorer... and manually delete everything in it.
After that, you can install from the hub and everything will work fine.
Somehow some stuff gets left behind after you run the trial uninstall and it messes up future installations.
