Hello folks.
Been hard at work learning GoZ and shuffling stuff back and forth into Zbrush and it starts to feel very nice.. but still there's some questions hanging in the air about the inner workings of CC3

I found some info that explains a little about displacement and i get the theory behind it but the one video i watched was 5 years old and didn't venture ionto vector displacement or the new version of CC3 and i'm guessing it has eveloved since the video was made.  By trial and error and furniture almost flying out of the window,  i have today had some success with getting the separated maps out of Zbrush and onto the character in CC3, but still, i'm not satisified with the result as even the smallest settings give me nasty tearing between the UV's and animating the character is out of the question as it will make things even worse.

I the picture below the seam on the neck is how it looks with reasonable settings and the small glitch that can be seen at the arrow on the right side is almost is almost zero- values..  I figured setting all displacement maps to identical values would solve the problem but it doesn't play ball very well..  I would like to know how to make this work ( grayscale and vectormaps) The face is all normalmaps and sculpting so this woirks pretty nice i'd say

Second question:
I have seen there's some .sbsar file support for new characters in the texture section for the characters and would like to learn a little more about this as i own both painter and designer it would be nice to be able to exploit this.

Have you tried increasing the tessellation for the mesh?

You can drag sbsar to the char/obj in the scene and it will replace the material used. You would be able to save the sbsar as iMTL as well. Based on my limited testing sbsar is pretty heavy. If you are running animation, you might run into FPS issue. Substance do offer a lot more opportunities and fun. But i have no idea how to use sbsar to iclone usage as i have not used substance designer for 2 years. I have stopped using it for overly complicated for simple things.

tessellation + substance on cross_002. You can see some tearing despite my best effort.
