I'm a newbie, just got CC3. I'm trying to create a male character and age him using the instructions in the online documentation, but hitting two snags. First, the section on aging begins with stating that the CC3 Base Character is Excluded. Why? Second, when I tried to work around this by bringing in CC!_Base Male from the templates, go to the Modify tab, select Appearance, click on Actor and attempt to load the Appearance Editor, the app crashes every time. So with this said, any thoughts on how to successfully bring in a character that I can morph and age? I welcome any advice.

If you welcome ANY advice I have some great stuff for you -- import a Daz old character. Not only are they then old, you can use the character and skin texture (after you export it) to create an "aged" morph to apply to any and all of your male characters. Here's Floyd: 75% of original size (was 674x19) - Click to enlarge Here's his skin texture applied to just the standard CC3 male: 75% of original size (was 674x19) - Click to enlarge And then you can play around with morphs and other things -- truly it's endless the kind of thing you can do (so you will lose yourself in it and never come out of that rabbit hole. So be careful).

Aargh! The forum keeps cutting me off before I can finish my statement. First problem was using CC3_Base Male character, and why you can't age this one. The second was why the appearance editor crashes on startup?
