Recently, I have noticed that spotlights in iClone 6 do not cast a shadow when they are pointed STRAIGHT DOWN (i.e., each X,Y, and Z rotations = 0). However, if you change the X rotation value to anything OTHER than 0, then the shadow will pop-in. Here is an example: http://www.screencast.com/t/7IIayjLEDoes anyone else have this issue? I do know it was no present in iClone 5.

I ran into that a couple days ago when I was combining light types to have both hard and soft shadows. Rotating by "0.1" on X or Y brings it back.
I was going for hard shadows from the directional light, and soft from an overhead spot opened up so wide that the shadowmap gets fuzzy. Sort of works.

Yep a little bit of a bug I'd say. I was able to replicate it...easy to fix I guess, but a bug none the less... You should post it in the iC6 issues thread. ;)
