Just checking, it's been almost a year now since you released Iclone 3 with the following statement about Zbrush.

Use Zbrush to generate normal maps with the iClone 3 actor templates allow you
to create actors with wrinkles or better body definition and muscle tone.

If you are not going to release the actor templates for Zbrush users, please just tell me. I've kept hope up this whole time, please don't let us down.

Thank you.

Hi LC,

Apologies for the long delay in updates on this situation. I will get the latest on the ZBrush templates and let you know here as soon as I find out anything.

A ZBrush Pipeline Guide/White Paper was just published (http://developer.reallusion.com/whitepaper/Zbrush_Pipeline/index.htm).  Does that have any bearing on the topic?

Also, it wasn't clear from that guide if ZBrush could be used without 3DS Max.  I assume for maps you could.

Hi LC,

The ZBrush OBJ files and Whitepaper are now available to download from the Developer Center. For your convenience I've included the links below.

Whitepaper

ZBrush Materials

The downside to this release is that currently you will need 3DS Max and the plugin to export your new ZBrush created head into iClone. This should change with the release of 3DXchange 3.0.

Thanks for your patience during the long delay getting these files released. We appreciate you hanging in there all this time.

Do you need Zbrush 3.0? What limitations do I have with using Zbrush 2.0?

Hi ,

no Zmapper . but nothing insurmountable because one can nevertheless create normal map and displace map .
Tools > normal map or displacement .

Normaly , the brush” move” in ZB 3.1 correspond to the brush "tweak" ;) .
