HI,
today i just started to work on fbx character provided with iclone 3dxchange pro basing on document provided by reallusion
(http://developer.reallusion.com/whitepaper/Maya_Template/index.html#Creating_Character_for_iClone)
i have done all the process exactly, i just added a single line to the head mesh to check it in iclone.
i have done the skining process also.
i havnt got any errors while impoting the fbx file to maya or while exporting it back.
but
even i am opening this edited fbx character in 3dxchange 4 pro,it is either crashing or in my 'n' number of trials it imported once or twice but while trying to export it back from 3dxchange it is exporting as non standed character.
can anyone help me in this process or provide me a video tutorial for this if possible.
and one more thing.
i don't know whether its a right process or not i just experimented this. i had iclone plug in installed for my 3ds max.so i tried by taking this edited maya fbx file to 3ds max and when i tried to exported it back as a iclone avatar or vns file with the help of this plugin it is giving some connection errors and exporting is not happening.
i searched for tutorials for this but i haven't find anything, and i haven't seen anyone succeed using this fbx character, sorry if was wrong.
if anyone can say me or provide me any tutte or any other document, please i really want to create my own carecter for iclone.
otherwise please inform me whether its possible to get results with this or not.

Hmm... this should be posted in the pipeline area. I don't have access to the FBX file, but I'm going to guess that the actual bones in the FGBX should not be edited aside from being moved (and rotated?)... maybe scaled?. Doing anything elseto them will make them nonidentical to the iClone bone system. Sorry I can't be of more help.
